Gift ideas by occasion
Many senders order for Dashain and Tihar (including Bhai Tika), Teej, Holi, the Nepali New Year, birthdays and weddings. Sarees and ethnic wear suit Teej, Dashain and weddings; fashion and electronics are popular for birthdays and Tihar; home & kitchen and beauty items work year-round. For a festival, order a few days early so it arrives in time.
Questions about sending gifts to Nepal
Can I send gifts to Nepal from the USA, UK or Australia?
Yes. Order on nearme.com.np from the USA, the UK and Australia, enter your family's address in Nepal as the delivery address, and Near Me delivers the order inside Nepal. Nothing is posted across a border, so the recipient pays no customs or import duty.
How long does delivery take once I order?
Kathmandu Valley: 5-7 business days. Other province centres: 5-8 business days. Remote areas: 6-9 business days. Orders placed before 2 PM Nepal time on a business day (Sunday–Friday) are dispatched the same day.
Does the person receiving the gift have to pay anything?
Not if you choose an online payment method at checkout. Avoid Cash on Delivery for gifts, because that asks the recipient to pay when the parcel arrives.
What currency are prices shown in?
Product prices are shown in Nepali rupees (NPR). Pay online at checkout.
Can Near Me ship an order to an address in the USA, UK or Australia instead?
Yes, for selected orders — see the International Shipping page for current fees, delivery times and import-duty information for each country.
Is Near Me a real store, and who fulfils my order?
Near Me is a Nepal-based, single-vendor online store. Near Me itself lists, packs and ships every product — there are no third-party marketplace sellers — so one team is accountable from order to delivery.
What if something arrives wrong or damaged?
Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo and we will arrange a replacement or refund as described in our shipping and returns policies.
