Sending a gift that's delivered by a Nepal-based store means it arrives fast and doesn't spend weeks in international post.

Australia is only a few hours ahead of Nepal, but it has several time zones and daylight saving changes the gap in some states, so use the live table above. Nepal's dispatch cut-off is 2 PM Nepal time on business days (Sunday–Friday) — an easy evening order for most of Australia.
Gift ideas by occasion
Many senders order for Dashain and Tihar (including Bhai Tika), Teej, Holi, the Nepali New Year, birthdays and weddings. Sarees and ethnic wear suit Teej, Dashain and weddings; fashion and electronics are popular for birthdays and Tihar; home & kitchen and beauty items work year-round. For a festival, order a few days early so it arrives in time.
Frequently asked questions — Australia to Nepal
Can I send gifts to Nepal from Australia?
Yes. Order on nearme.com.np from Australia, enter your family's address in Nepal as the delivery address, and Near Me delivers the order inside Nepal. Nothing is posted across a border.
How long does delivery take in Nepal?
Kathmandu Valley: 5-7 business days. Other province centres: 5-8 business days. Remote areas: 6-9 business days. Orders placed before 2 PM Nepal time on a business day (Sunday–Friday) are dispatched the same day.
Does the recipient pay anything on delivery?
Not if you choose an online payment method. Avoid Cash on Delivery for gifts — it asks the recipient to pay when the parcel arrives.
How do I pay from Australia?
Product prices are shown in Nepali rupees (NPR). Pay online at checkout.
Is it cheaper to buy in Nepal and have it delivered there than to post a parcel from Australia?
Often, yes — you avoid international postage and any border charges, and the item is delivered domestically within Nepal. Compare the product price and delivery fee shown at checkout against international postage for the same item.
Can I send something to Nepal from Australia for a student's or relative's birthday?
Yes. Order online, enter the recipient's address in Nepal and choose an online payment method so they have nothing to pay on delivery.
Can Near Me ship an order to an address in Australia instead of Nepal?
Yes, for selected orders — see the International Shipping page for current fees, delivery times and import-duty information for Australia.
Who fulfils the order, and can I track it?
Near Me — a Nepal-based, single-vendor store — packs and ships every order itself. You can follow the status in My Orders after signing in, and we send email updates as it moves.
